12:9. “ಈ ಜನರು, ‘ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಸುಲಭವಾದ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಕೊಡು’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಜನರಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ಹೇಳಲೇ ಬೇಕು. ಈ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯೇನು? ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಏನು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.

12:9. ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿದ ನೊಗವನ್ನು ಹಗುರ ಮಾಡೆಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಈ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರ ಕೊಡಲು ಏನು ಯೋಚನೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀರಿ ಅಂದನು.

12:9. He asked them, "How do you advise me to respond to these people who said to me, 'Lessen the demands your father placed on us'?"

12:9. "What is your advice?" he asked them. "How should I answer these people who want me to lighten the burdens imposed by my father?"

12:9. And he said unto them, What counsel give ye, that we may return answer to this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke that thy father did put upon us lighter?

12:9. And he said to them, "What do you advise that we answer this people who have said to me, 'Lighten the yoke that your father put on us'?"

12:9. And he said unto them, What counsel give ye that we may answer this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which thy father did put upon us lighter?

12:9. And he said to them, "What do you advise that we answer this people who have said to me, `Lighten the yoke that your father put upon us'?"

12:9. And he said unto them, What counsel give ye, that we may return answer to this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke that thy father did put upon us lighter?

12:9. and he saith unto them, `What are ye counselling, and we answer this people, who have spoken unto me, saying, Lighten [somewhat] of the yoke that thy father put upon us?`

12:9. Rehoboam asked them, "The people said, 'Give us easier work than your father gave us.' How do you think I should answer them? What should I tell them?"

12:9. He said to them, What counsel do you give, that we may return answer to this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke that your father did put on us lighter?
